    Esta serie fotográfica materializa las ideas que lanzó el político y científico francés François Arago en 1845 “Ya no será indispensable emprender largos viajes para ir a la búsqueda de tipos humanos […] vendrán ellos mismos a nosotros debido a los progresos incesantes de la civilización”. Nuestras ciudades nuestros puertos nos los muestran de forma constante (los tipos humanos). F. Arago propuso a los antropólogos de la época aprovechar los flujos migratorios que había en el siglo XIX debidos a la actividad colonial para fotografiar a los otros. 150 años después, Jordi Baron Rubi se aprovecha de los flujos migratorios de nuestra era global y adopta la metodología de los antropólogos de campo e inicia una campaña fotográfica, pero en lugar de plantar la tienda en un lejano poblado, instala su estudio en una playa de Barcelona, donde realiza un inventario de los diferentes tipos que encuentra en este espacio de recreo de la ciudad. This photographic series materializes the ideas launched by the French politician and scientist François Arago in 1845 "It will no longer be indispensable to undertake long journeys to go in search of human types [...] they will come to us themselves due to the incessant progress of civilization". Our cities and our ports constantly show them to us (human types). F. Arago proposed to the anthropologists of the time to take advantage of the migratory flows in the 19th century due to colonial activity to photograph the others. 150 years later, Jordi Baron Rubi takes advantage of the migratory flows of our global era and adopts the methodology of field anthropologists and starts a photographic campaign, but instead of pitching his tent in a distant village, he sets up his studio on a beach in Barcelona, where he makes an inventory of the different types he finds in this recreational area of the city.
